Appliance Tips

My Fridge Compartment is not cooling, what's wrong?

Many modern fridges stop cooling in the fridge compartment due to an ice build up in the freezer. Frost free fridges make the cold air in the freezer and the air is blown down into the fridge. If the air flow is restriced by an ice build up the air ducts leading between the fridge and freezer compartments the fridge will become warm and eventually the freezer will stop cooling as well.

Oven not working?

The first thing to check is that your power is on and the fuse has not blown or circuit breaker has not tripped. Then check that the clock or timer setting is on manual. If you have the timer set to automatic the oven temperature indicator will not light up and the oven won't start until the time is reached.

If you have checked your user manual and these tips do not help you will most likely need to book an appointment with an appliance repairer or electrician.
